Since the foundation in 2017, MindDoc has developed into Germany's leading provider of video-based psychotherapy.

In addition to video-based psychotherapy, MindDoc also operates a mental health app that has been downloaded onto smartphones by over three million people worldwide.

Our most important new launch is the MindDoc app on prescription. This means that patients can now also receive the app on prescription.

As a Senior Backend Engineer within the apps team at MindDoc, you will join a dynamic and collaborative delivery setting. The Minddoc Mobile team is actively engaged in constructing a platform that has more than 3 million downloads on the app stores spanning many countries/regions. This role presents an exciting chance to contribute to an app that helps people in their lives, where you can leverage cutting-edge technologies in the development of a technology product with global scalability.

design, plan, execute, test, and deliver features and monitor their performance on production.
are writing high quality code, performing code reviews and having technical discussions is your daily work.
contribute to an engineering culture where developers enjoy working and keep learning.
monitor and ensure services backend stability.

You…

have more than 5 years experience as a software engineer.
have experience in building and releasing software in an agile environment and in working on cross functional teams.
have a track record as Ruby on Rails developer.
have advanced knowledge of relational databases and a solid understanding of RESTful systems and their APIs.
like comfortable work with Git and Pull Requests.
have also experience in test-driven development and an appreciation for great user experience that is enabled through a great backend as much as for sustainable and modern tech architecture.
are great at communicating with people, motivating everyone and getting the whole team on the same page if needed.
have experience with cloud solutions (GCP, Azure, AWS, or Heroku). OTC is a plus.
are familiarity with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code
are fluent in English, German is a plus.
